April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. In seventh grade she began playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her passion for songwriting. at the age of 12, April wrote her first song Different. She spent lots of hours at the age of 14 creating songs, and practicing her music. In the following months she began taking notes together with her dad and her father to LA as well as NY. She also started to write about various other topics of concern for some members of her circle who deal with things like social pressure and teenager suicide, as in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart collaborates with popular clean beauty brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle influencer, with her own growing fan base. She was born with no left hand. It makes her unique. It's not the only characteristic of her. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't shy away from her handicap, however it's not focused on it in any way. What message is it sending? The message is in our lives that make us unique and that we're much beyond our physical bodies. Lockhart, via a video message from Nashville's residence, says that I do not think that this should make me feel like I am a victim. I am far more than just my physical body. My daily routine. I run the same way as I always do and have found different ways of adapting. It's a big part of my life, which is why it's crucial to talk about the subject. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey is one that can last many years, yet she inspires me with regard to this. However, she acknowledges going through a series of phases in her body not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing which showed off her arms. She now wears whatever she wants and posts images of her outfits to social networks with pride. Self-love she said is a process. "I believe that you'll ever get there," she said. This is true for everyone regardless of their level of insecurity. I think that having people with you who are aware of you and know your feelings is crucial because they'll be the people whom you can count on to remind you about what you concerned about?
