Laura Linney is an American actress who is famous for her portrayal of strong but vulnerable characters. After spending the summers with her father's business Laura Linney fell in love by theatre. Later in her time at Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which the career of her choice took off. In the two years following her graduation, she launched the beginning of her Broadway career. A few years later, she was in television. Since then, she's performed in many films and stage and television productions. She has won many awards during her professional career. These include the four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. In spite of all the awards she has received the theatre is still her passion first and foremost. She has continued to appear both on stage and screen.
