Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC Show with the same name; Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. A native of California Swanson had a passion for acting as a young girl. She began her career in the field of commercials, in which she starred in several commercials. Her screen debut was on an episode on NBCs sitcom It's Your Time in 1984. Her debut was on the large screen in 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan was known for her lisp of blonde and her breathless voice. Recently, she's shifted from playing main characters to secondary characters. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
